ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Federal and private grants of nearly $29 million were announced Wednesday to fund 30 Delaware River watershed conservation projects, including a South Philadelphia wetlands park and a Bird Safe Philly initiative to reduce bird collisions, and the funding will support habitat improvements and stream restorations across PA, NJ, DE—and NY. - ➤ Two barges carrying 21,000 tons of salt for Philadelphia are stuck in icy Delaware River, delaying delivery to the Fairless Hills port.
