  • Philadelphia is celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March by hosting events at hotels, museums, and restaurants that include walking tours, high tea, art exhibits, and vendor markets to honor trailblazing women.   • Philly’s Fire Museum Presents has celebrated 25 years by staging eclectic concerts in unusual venues, uniting global folk traditions + local underground talent. Founder Steven Tobin plans to expand with children’s workshops to spark interest in global and experimental music, reinforcing its role as a cultural fixture in Philadelphia.  WHYY
  • Philadelphia Museum of Art will let visitors pay what they wish for tickets on Friday nights from April 10 to Labor Day during the Nation of Artists exhibition (featuring over 1,000 works), and its monthly pay what you wish day will remain in effect.  WHYY

  • Music Theatre Philly offers summer camps this summer that let young performers explore acting and dancing in Center City studios. Options include a one-week Musical Revue Camp, a two-week Junior Musical Camp, and a Pre-K half-day camp with extra care and sibling discounts.  Metro Philadelphia

SPORTS NEWS

  • Sixers star Joel Embiid missed Saturday morning practice after reporting soreness on his right side from an incidental hit during a Heat game, and his status for the Boston game remains uncertain pending a doctor's consultation + the team will update his condition after his checkup.  Metro Philadelphia
  • Joel Embiid’s MRI today showed a strained right oblique and he will miss the Sixers’ next three games, including tonight’s matchup against the Celtics. He missed Saturday’s practice and will be reevaluated after his back-to-back games (starting tonight) to check his progress.  Metro Philadelphia
  • Nick Nurse will try three lineup changes to boost the Sixers before the playoffs in mid-April. The changes include keeping either Embiid or Maxey on the floor, giving Adem Bona 20 minutes, and letting rookie VJ Edgecombe handle more ball time (to build his skills) in upcoming games.  Metro Philadelphia
  • Philadelphia Union II kicked off its 2026 MLS Next Pro season yesterday at Subaru Park against Toronto FC II. Coach Ryan Richter’s overhauled squad, which includes new signings Giovanny Sequera, academy graduate Jordan Griffin, and returning Oscar Benitez, now plays free games on MLS Next Pro’s website + One Football.  Metro Philadelphia
