- ➤ The world premiere musical 'GIRL DOLLS: The American Musical' opens May 9 at FringeArts and runs through May 17. Local artists Jackie Soro and Pax Ressler create the show to explore girlhood and identity with original songs and smart satire. Metro Philadelphia
- ➤ The Philadelphia Zoo kicked off spring with Bunny Brunch on March 29 and will host family-friendly Easter Egg Hunts on April 3-5. The Zoo also introduces a new colony of Magellanic penguins — the first in over 75 years — and offers an interactive egg search with a 250,000 actions for animals initiative. Metro Philadelphia

- ➤ Philadelphia bars, restaurants, and breweries can serve until 4 a.m. from June 11 to July 20 after Gov. Josh Shapiro signed a bill that introduces the $500 Philadelphia 250 permit; businesses must complete a Liberty Bell Safe Certification and aim to boost local revenue during the FIFA World Cup plus the nation’s 250th birthday. - ➤ On Sunday, the Phillies fought hard at Citizens Bank Park but lost 8-3 to the Texas Rangers after being hitless until the fifth inning. They scored late runs, yet the early slump cost them the series finale. Metro Philadelphia
- ➤ The Sixers beat the Hornets 118-114 in Charlotte with key plays from Maxey, Embiid, and George who combined for 81 points; they will play Miami tonight at 7 p.m. EST as the team builds on improved chemistry. Metro Philadelphia
