- ➤ Chariot Equities will host a town hall on April 14 at 6 p.m. at Widener University’s Lathem Hall to discuss plans to redevelop the shuttered Crozer-Chester Medical Center and its 64-acre campus in Upland after its closure in May 2025. WHYY
- ➤ Philadelphia is getting 250 aesthetic upgrades including bike racks, benches & planters featuring a Liberty Bell design, with new custom banners for neighborhoods; Mayor Parker will unveil the permanent additions next Wednesday across 20 corridors as part of a $1.7M beautification ahead of major summer events. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Tourism officials and Mayor Cherelle Parker met at the National Constitution Center to plan summer activities including the U.S. Conference of Mayors — a tourism walk on July 2. Bar owners have until April 14 to apply for liquor hour extensions. WHYY

- ➤ Over 100 high school students attended the Philadelphia School District Voter Education Summit on Tuesday — community groups led workshops and city officials demonstrated how to use voting machines. WHYY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Philadelphia may extend its trash incineration contract with a Delaware County facility for another year if new waste management deals are not signed by end of June (officials are reviewing a study comparing incineration and landfilling). - ➤ Philly’s Office of Clean and Green Initiatives has proposed a budget increase that will add 100 surveillance cameras and expand twice-weekly trash pickups in North Philadelphia to combat illegal dumping.
