A rideshare driver died when he experienced a medical emergency that caused his white Hyundai to hit three parked cars and burst into flames on the 1000 block of Marlborough Street in Fishtown just after 9:00 p.m.—four passengers escaped uninjured.

A 31-year-old man, Derwin Matthews Jr., who celebrated Philly Pride weekend, was shot in the stomach early Monday on the 200 block of South Camac Street in Center City and was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he died at 6:20 a.m.—police said a fight with an unknown man may have led to the shooting.

Detectives are seeking seven alleged robbers who attacked a 20-year-old near Temple University on May 26 at around 6 p.m.—the suspects jumped him, punched and kicked him, and stole his bag containing IDs and bank cards.

Philadelphia’s 50th annual Odunde Festival will take place in South Philadelphia on Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.—the free event features live music, African and Caribbean food, a river procession starting at noon, and two performance stages.
