- ➤ Police broke up an ICE protest on Tuesday evening in Center City after demonstrators marched from 7th and Arch to Market Street, using shoving tactics while details about any arrests remain unclear. KYW Newsradio
- ➤ On Tuesday evening, two Philadelphia police officers were injured and 15 protesters were arrested after a protest against ICE turned violent at the intersection of 11th and Market Streets in Center City — officers used bicycles and a baton to control the crowd while one masked man was held down, and the use of force is under review. - ➤ Philadelphia City Council members say Parks — Recreation is breaking a 2020 law by using chemical sprays on parks and playgrounds even though officials claim natural methods did not work. They will review the issue this fall to decide on the next steps for protecting public spaces. WHYY
- ➤ A Pennsylvania Senate committee passed a bill that would change how Philadelphia collects its 3.4% wage tax from people who work in the city but live elsewhere.
