- ➤ A Philadelphia judge upheld murder charges against Ramon Rodriguez Vasquez, the man accused of fatally wounding Officer Jaime Roman during a traffic stop near Tioga and F streets in Kensington on June 22, 2024—Roman was shot in the ear, survived nearly three months of treatment, and died on Sept. 10. - ➤ A man in his 60s was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on North Broad Street early Monday by a dark-colored sedan — police are searching for the driver. KYW Newsradio

- ➤ City Year Philadelphia graduated 77 AmeriCorps volunteers at the Academy of Natural Science auditorium despite a $3.75 million funding cut by DOGE & uncertainty over receiving $2.8 million in future federal support, with many volunteers planning to return to support local schools. - ➤ A Philadelphia lawmaker’s bill that would limit ticket reseller fees to 5% for both buyers and sellers passed the state House with bipartisan support last week and will now move to the Senate. Mary Isaacson said she supports the cap after Super Bowl tickets were seen with fees over 35% — sometimes adding more than $2,000 to the ticket price. KYW Newsradio
- ➤ On Monday morning, former President Joe Biden visited Parc in Rittenhouse Square for breakfast while filming for Reacher took place nearby on 18th and Locust Streets. - ➤ House lawmakers from Delaware County passed a bill by a 212 to 82 vote last week to boost state review of private equity transactions in health care. The measure gives the attorney general power to block deals that could harm hospitals and comes after Crozer Health closed last month. WHYY

- ➤ Philadelphia Union moved back to the top of the standings with a 2-1 win over Charlotte FC after Jesus Bueno and Wilfried Zaha made early goals & Markus Anderson scored his first MLS goal in stoppage time to give the team the win.
