Since last Tuesday, over 100 Philadelphia Water Department supervisors have worked 24/7 shifts, sleeping on cots to keep six water and wastewater treatment facilities running during a strike by lower-paid union workers.

Philadelphia's DC 33 worker strike continued into its second week as negotiations resumed Tuesday between city officials and union representatives amid high tensions while trash piled up across the city.
