- ➤ Since last Tuesday, over 100 Philadelphia Water Department supervisors have worked 24/7 shifts, sleeping on cots to keep six water and wastewater treatment facilities running during a strike by lower-paid union workers. The city has paid supervisors overtime and double time to maintain water flow — and negotiations will resume Tuesday. The Philadelphia Inquirer
- ➤ Philadelphia's DC 33 worker strike continued into its second week as negotiations resumed Tuesday between city officials and union representatives amid high tensions while trash piled up across the city. An updated map listed 60 drop-off sites and six sanitation centers (open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) where residents can drop off up to eight bags daily from Monday to Saturday. The Philadelphia Inquirer
