- ➤ Philadelphia police are investigating a string of burglaries in Fishtown—Vessel Coffee Collective was broken into by a masked man with tattoos on Thursday, and similar incidents at a warehouse and a van have led neighbors to ask for help identifying the suspect. KYW Newsradio

- ➤ Philly’s waterfront is set to host many events in August as part of the 'Make Summer Yours' initiative—featuring the ACANA Africa Festival on Aug. 3, multicultural festivals at Cherry Street Pier, music shows at Spruce Street Harbor Park, and fitness classes at Race Street Pier. - ➤ The School District of Philadelphia will begin its annual back-to-school bus tour on Monday to help families prepare for the new school year with free school supply backpacks, health services and fun activities. - ➤ Westbound lanes on Market Street in Old City will be closed from Aug. 4 to Nov. 17 for a $16 million project that will narrow the road to one lane in each direction and add a bike lane, upgraded bus stops and a pedestrian plaza near the Tamanend statue—drivers going west will detour to Front, Arch and 6th streets while eastbound traffic remains open.
