- ➤ Philadelphia police are investigating a gray sedan that plunged off a bridge into Wissahickon Creek early Sunday near Ridge Avenue by the SEPTA bus depot in East Falls — no driver was found at the scene. KYW Newsradio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State Rep. Perry Warren has introduced legislation that will require home sellers to disclose flood risks, prior damage claims and insurance details for properties in FEMA designated flood zones– a move aimed at alerting buyers after severe storms caused major losses. The bipartisan proposal awaits a House vote and would also have the Insurance Department launch a website to provide flood zone and insurance information. WHYY
- ➤ Delaware County will not appeal a court ruling that lets 13 municipalities continue their own environmental health inspections + the county will work with these local governments to serve residents as its three-year-old health department adjusts its plans. - ➤ Philly's GOP state senator Joe Picozzi and two suburban colleagues introduced bills last week to make SEPTA more accountable by requiring performance reviews and setting minimum system criteria—steps that aim to improve transit management.
