- ➤ Calder Gardens, a new $100 million art center for Alexander Calder, opens on Sunday on Benjamin Franklin Parkway—its design by Jacques Herzog gives visitors a space to experience ever-changing art exhibits. - ➤ The Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne announced that it will close at the end of this academic year on May 30 due to rising costs, lower enrollment, and increased insurance premiums—staff will help families transition and seniors will graduate with a VFMA diploma. KYW Newsradio

- ➤ Philly Rises began Monday at Carver High School in North Philadelphia to help students register to vote—seniors like Kimberly Zeng, who turned 18, joined the registration effort while 17-year-olds can sign up as poll workers for upcoming elections.
