- ➤ Police Officer Andy Chan, critically injured in a 2019 motorcycle crash and cared for six years, was laid to rest Tuesday at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in a service attended by law enforcement officials from several states; he was posthumously honored with the PPD Medal of Excellence renamed in his memory. - ➤ For the second time this week, the School District cut the ribbon on a $90 million, three-story building for Holme Elementary (a rebuilt facility on the old school site in Northeast Philly).
